You can use an exfoliating body wash and a bath sponge to gently buff the dead skin away in the shower. After pat your skin dry with a towel, don't rub, then apply aloe vera gel to the area. Best WishesKnow any ways to get rid of light spots from peeling after a sunburn?
Exfoliate and moisturize. Also try a sunless tanner lotion mixed with regular moisturizer to blend away the white spots, this will be more pleasing to look at. Next time use sunscreen!
Rub Aloe on it

I have been using proactive. It really helps. I have some scaring from past acne and it is slowly clearing it up, but I have not had an new breakouts since I started using it.
don't bother with that pharmacy crap just do this

Use a hot compress on it (a washcloth, sponge, or anything that will allow you to apply moist heat to the area), and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, rinse it with warm water, blot off the excess water with a clean towel, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

How can I recover from dark brown acne spots?

I need a way without using any chemicals.A useful and simple way.How can I recover from dark brown acne spots?
Include green, leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Drink a lot of water to to regularly to flush out toxins, and don't forget to drink a glass before breakfast to flush out the stomach. Avoid deep-fried snacks

Lemon juice is effective in lightening the dark spots left by acne and pimples.

First, cleanse the scarred area with water. Soak up a teaspoon of lemon juice with a cotton ball and smooth it over the marks. Leave the juice in place for ten minutes, then rinse.

Be careful how often you use lemon juice: it can have the side effect of making your skin light sensitive. Make sure to cover treated areas with sunscreen before going outdoors.

    Vitamin E

Try applying vitamin E to the scarred area three to four times daily to help reduce its visibility. If you keep at it, you should see some results after one to two weeks. It takes a long time before you get really noticeable effects.

    Honey and pearl

A useful facial pack for acne is honey and pearl powder.

Apply a mask of it for 15 minutes. If you can keep doing it every week, your skin will become lighter and smoother.

    Tea tree oil

Some medications made from natural ingredients, such as rosehip seed oil and tea tree oil, will not only help to heal scars, but also significantly work to prevent future scarring.

    Fruits

In addition to eating fresh fruits to supply your skin with collagen-building vitamin C, you can also smear them onto your face as an acidic exfoliant.

Puree a quarter cup of pineapple and smooth it onto your face. Leave it in place 10-15 minutes, then rinse.

Pineapple contains ascorbic acid which helps brighten the face and fade acne. Apple works similarly. Soak a slice of apple in hot water till soft, then apply it to any scarred areas. Leave it for 20 minutes, and then rinse.

    Leeks

Peel the membrane from white are of the leek while watching TV or resting. Place a peeling over scarred areas for ten minutes every day. You can secure it with a bandage to keep it from falling off. Keep this up for a few weeks and you'll see the color fade away

    Ginger

After cleaning your skin, cut a few slices of fresh ginger and apply to the affected area for 20 minutes. You'd better do this laying down, otherwise the ginger may fall off. It might burn a little, but probably not too much. The ginger may leave behind a bit of redness after you removeit, but don't be too worried. Just wipe off and have a good rest. In the morning, the scar should become smooth, and will hopefully fade completely within two weeks. How can I recover from dark brown acne spots?
. . . tinted lotion, its not cemicals, it this lotion, that tints ur skin naturally.
Go to a natural cosmetics shop and get a scrub cream. It's a cream to wash your face that contains little crumbled seeds to help scrub your face skin to clean the acne spots in a natural and not chemical way. Hope it helps.
Ambi has a product for spots caused by acne. I have used it and it really works. It costs about 11.99 and it is a small tube but you just apply it to the spots on your face, not your entire face. You can find it in Walgreens, CVS. Hope this helps

Brown spots on skin are called chloasma or melasma and can happen for several reasons. One side effect of sun damage is the skin discoloration known as solar lentigenes. Brown patches of skin can also occur due to birth control pills, pregnancy, or estrogen replacement therapy. In those instances the discoloration is referred to as pregnancy or hormone masking.

Treatment of melasma depends on the type and involves skin-lightening agents and sometimes tretinoin (Retin-A). The proper use of sunscreen is also important because UV light can worsen melasma.

A few options may help fade or treat dark patches:

Hydroquinone is a cream that takes pigment out of the skin. It blocks the natural chemical process that leads to the creation of melanin, the substance that makes skin dark.

Tretinoin is a type of vitamin A that helps to increase the rate at which dead skin cells fall off and new ones appear. This makes the melasma patch fade more quickly as the pigmented cells are shed.

Azelaic acid cream appears to work by slowing down or stopping the production of pigment, the substance that makes the skin darker.

Chemical peels are liquid solutions applied to the skin to provide a mild chemical burn, similar to sunburn. Over time, the burned layers peel off, leaving fresh, new skin. Chemical peels vary in strength. Glycolic acid is among the mildest, and therefore has a lower risk of causing scarring or skin discoloration. Chemical peels may be used if melasma does not respond to other treatments.

Sometimes a bleaching cream may be of some help to lighten the darker areas.

Some dermatologists use laser therapy to remove the pigmented layer of skin, but this technique is not a routine treatment for melasma.
QUit kissing your bosses behind so much..that stuff tend to rub off. Especially in the nose area.

    Hence the term ';brown noser';
    Try a skin lightener

Proactiv can in deed work for some people however a few days from not using the product you will get all of the acne back worse then it actually was before you started using Proactiv. This is because Proactiv only works on the stratum corneum layer (the top layer of the skin) which means the product doesnt penetrate into the sebaceous glands (your oil/sebum glands) to help decrease the amount of sebum coming out of your pores. Also every single Proactiv product contains Benzoyl Peroxide which really should only be used as a spot treatment becuase Benzoyl Peroxide causes extreme dryness to the skin.

If you are looking for an exfoliant to also help make your skin smoother and brighter then I would suggest going professional with

    Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant.

It's like $75.00 CDN however it should last you more then 6 but less then 12 months if you use it everyday.

I've been using it for almost a year and I am just starting to run out. You use it every night after you cleanse your face and you only need about a quarter size amount in the palm of your hands.

Daily Microfoliant contains rice bran and licorice and enzymes which help to eat away at your dead skin cells and then wash them off. Licorice helps to brighten your skin tone. Your skin will feel smoother after just one use. I seriously love it. I exfoliate twice daily as I use Dermalogica's Daily Resurfacer in the morning. What can I use to get rid of spots and make my skin smoother?
I assume, these are from previous cases of acne. What I would recommend, (and im a teenager) is that you wash your face in the morning and it the night with a cleasner. You dry your face, and then you make sure to apply a facial moisturizer. This is to prevent more acne from appearing. Because pimples appear because of clogged up pores, which results in an oily face. For the spots and blackheads, they have alot of spot and blackhead creams on the market so pick whatever you like. Proactive is good also, to remove spots and previous acne scars.

Sorry I don't know any home remedies.
Don't panic Lou it's a stage that you will grow out of. Would you believe that Cher had the worst case of acne he had ever seen..Drink plenty of water, stay away from greasy, processed foods. Bonne Bell (brand name)make an excellent skin toner which is reasonably priced. I had ingrown hairs that had formed large lumps on my neck due to acne and I thought I would NEVER get rid of them. Till a pharmacist recommended a product called Benzac.(brandname, made by Galderma). It was miraculous it took some months but it has cleared my acne. Don't pick your skin you'll scar it for LIFE.
Well i think this would help:

It might be worth getting eye cream - there are lots on the market but it might be a skin condition - might be worth just checking it out with the doc in the first instance. Eye creams are really good, the skin under the eyes is the most thin on the face and very sensitive. I like Dermalogica or Origins - you could get samples and see if you like any of them. How can I get rid of the dark spots under the eyes?
Lots of water (drink it!) and more sleep. Also, eye creams that contain vitamin K really help diminish under eye circles. If they really bother you in the meanwhile, try an undereye concealer which matches your skintone.
hey emily is right preparationH does help a lot you will notice in about 3 days they are getting liter just put alittle on there when you go to sleep. it does work i have very dark circles and have used many times. and is less of a pain. just remeber it takes time depending the darkness of the circles.

How can i cover up my freckles and spots without wearing to much make-up?

How can i cover up my freckles and spots without wearing to much make-up? PLEASE HELP ME AND ANSWER MY QUESTION !How can i cover up my freckles and spots without wearing to much make-up?
Stay out of the sun and when you are in the sun where sun screen with an SPF of 15 or higher. Exposure to sun will cause your freckles to ';pop'; up or more to appear. Freckles also appear more vibrant when you are hot or physically active.

Regardless of your age or skin color you should always wear a SPF 15 or greater sunscreen.

Most quality foundations have SPFs so always get one that does.

Wearing sunscreen will prevent you from premature aging.

These should be worn year round and not just in the summer or while you are tanning.

Visit a make up counter and speak with a consultant

Look for medium to heavy coverage liquid or cream foundation that matches your current skin color and blends well into your cheeks and neck.

Do not buy a color the same color as your freckles or buy a color in between your freckles and your skin color. It's about coverage, not color.

Medium and heavy coverage is most often used by women to hide flaws and even skin tone

This type of coverage usually contains more oil so you won't find it in ';sheer'; formulas or hypoallergenic formulas (Clinique).

Try several shades to find one that blends well with your neck and not one that is the same color as your freckles.

The foundation alone may not cover them entirely. Don't look for magically disappearing freckles. Instead, look for a foundation that reduces the appearance of your freckles.

Remember most people aren't looking at your freckles from less than a foot away

You notice your freckles more than anyone and you are probably looking for them when most people aren't

Now that you've reduced their overall appearance you can try to find a dual finish powder. This a powder that can be worn alone or as a finish to foundation. This is not a matte pancake make up, just a colored compact with a lasting finish. Since you are looking for coverage you will wear the powder on top of your foundation. If you didn't want to go all out you could also just use the powder with a more sheer foundation. These powders will usually be colored similarly to the foundations. These are pressed powders and not translucent loose powders. Translucent and loose powders will not give you the coverage you want. Besides, you will need something to set the heavier foundation.

Apply the powder with a puff to your face over the foundation.

Apply blush to your cheeks to add brightness and dimension and to accent your cheekbones. This is even more important since you are using a heavier foundation and you might not see the definition without it.

Continue applying your eyeshadow, liner, mascara and lips as you normally would.

If you are trying to hide freckles on your eyelids you can also apply the foundation and powder there. Do so sparingly but it will provide an excellent base for eye makeup and your eye makeup should stay on longer.

Do not apply heavy foundation to your neck. Blend into your neckline like you normally would. Applying foundation to your entire neck will get on clothes and start to separate as your neck may perspire more.

Remember to wash your face well and exfolliate regularly. The heavier foundations will clog pores so cleanse with proper cleansers for your skin type.

Do not try to apply concealer to large areas of skin. The coverage is too thick and it will start to show lines and look cracked.

You may be able to cut back on your normal moisturizer since the foundation will have more oils.

If you've followed the steps your freckles are much less noticeable. Congratulations on your new fresh face.

Coverage and color are key. By shopping for make up at a make up counter you can sample product and get assistance with the different formulas. You can also ask questions.

Let the associate at the counter know why you are shopping for these finishes. If you are younger they will almost always direct you towards the sheer finishes and formulas typically used by younger women.

Don't let anyone try to sell you a color that matches your freckles and not your face.

If you buy from drug stores you will probably waste more money trying to find the combination of product you need. If you must use these, make sure you can return it if it doesn't work and save your receipts.

If you do buy from drug stores don't buy Cover Girl or Almay as those won't have the coverage you need. Look for the brands targeting the older woman and look for cream for heavier foundation formulas. Also look for the powders in those same lines.

If you have oily skin you may not be able to wear these foundations with more oils without breakouts.

Freckles are great and you shouldn't try to hide them completely.

Don't aim for 100% freckle disappearance.

Try to appreciate your freckles. Just because your friend may not have them doesn't mean they aren't beautiful.

Before you hide your freckles think of all the beautiful women that have them. (Kate Moss, Julia Roberts, Kiera Knightly, etc.) Freckles aren't considered a flaw. JustHow can i cover up my freckles and spots without wearing to much make-up?
one day i thought my friend was wearing foundation but i asked her and she said she wasn`.t she was wearing ';tinted foundation'; so i think if you buy that it`ll subtely cover your freckles / spots ! but if thats not enough to cover them.. then maybe just use a concealer on the really noticeable ones and then cover with a tinted moisturiser ?

also.. when i had lots of blemishes i wanted a more natural look so i mixed a small amount of foundation with moisturiser and it cover up most of it . no need to cake up on foundation ay :) hope i helped !

I have freckles too and what I do is put on a light coat of liquid foundation then I use powder over it with bronzer on top. that works really well for me because I have freckles and I get red really easily and it covers up both.
Just use a tiny bit of foundation, if you hardly ever were foundation, then it will be fine on your skin, and wont harm it. just don't use it every day like some people
you dont want to cover up freckles! freckles are natural beauty!
Use a really light concealer on your spots that won't clog up your skin!

Don't cover up your freckles! My aunty used to say they were like ';little kisses from the sun'; :)
Just use a really good flawless foundation not too much could aggrovate spots !

You should try getting some facial wash and toner and use at least twice a day. You should try Nutrogena (sp?) Their products are really good, and also suitable for sensitive skin.
Yes, go to a dermatologist!! They can prescibe drugs based on your specific stage of acne.
I suffer from it too, badly. I use Clearasil Ultra (clearer skin in 3 days stuff) - the Face Wash, Daily Scrub, and vanishing cream.

    What鈥檚 Acne?

Acne is a term that鈥檚 used to describe whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. (You may well recognize slang terms like spots, or zits). Most teenagers get the type of acne called acne vulgaris, which can show up on the face, neck, shoulders, back, and chest. Skin pores contain oil glands which naturally lubricate your skin and hair. But sometimes if a pore gets clogged beneath the skin with excess oil and bacteria, the dreaded acne is caused...

Whiteheads happen when a pore gets clogged, closes, and then bulges out. If a pore gets clogged but stays open, the top may darken and you've got a blackhead. A pimple happens when dead skin and bacteria work their way under live skin. This leads to a small infection that makes your skin look red.

    What Causes Acne?

Although everyone is different, acne is usually caused by the build up of oil and dead skin in a pore. This build up of oil and dead skin is caused because of:

Natural hormones. These are particularly active in your teens.

Plugged skin. Lots of skin cells can close the oil glands or pores, creating blackheads or whiteheads, (as mentioned earlier).

Bacteria. Bacteria can easily infect oil glands and pores and grow very quickly.

Family background. If you have acne, your kids are more likely to have it too.

How To Reduce An Acne Problem

You shouldn鈥檛 squeeze, pick, scratch, or rub your skin as it makes the problem worse, and it might even cause scarring. Regularly shampoo your hair, and try to keep it off your face if possible - especially at night.

Keep a food diary to work out if you are one of the few people whose acne gets worse if they eat certain things.

Exercise regularly to get the old blood flowing, and make sure you get a wash as soon after as possible.

    Avoid unnecessarily touching your face.

If possible, try to minimize your stress levels.

    Avoid getting sunburned.

Change your wash cloth every day, as bacteria can grow on damp cloth.

Wash your face twice a day with a gentle soap like Dove or Simple.

Always rinse really well with lots of water.

Only wear makeup on special occasions, and then make sure you remove it completely.

Granular facial scrub can make acne worse by aggravating the skin.

    1. CLEANSING

Women who wear make-up should carry out a routine of cleansing, toning and moisturing each evening, as well as washing the face in the morning. Cleansing will remove old make-up and the grime and grease that have been accumulated during the day.

Remove mascara with a cotton bud dipped in eye-dipped in eye-cleansing lotion. To make the job easier keep your hair off your face.

Remove the eyeshadow by gently wiping it off with a pad of clean cotton wool moistened with eye-cleansing lotion.

Pour a little face cleansing cream into the palm of one hand and dab it generously over the nose, chin, forehead and cheeks---using two fingers of the other hand.

Massage the cream into the skin, starting under the throat, using a gentle upward motion.

Continue massaging the cream up to the forehead, using the fingertips.

Gently massage the cream from the eyes to the nose.

Massage cream back over the chin, which is particularly prone to blackheads. Use the index finger.

Remove the cream from the face with tissue pads in each hand. Start under the chin and work over the cheeks and on to the forehead

    2. TONING

Toners remove all traces of dirt, make-up or cleanser that remain after cleansing.

Immediately after cleansing apply toner to the forehead and cheeks on a pad of corron wool

Apply the toner to the crevices around the nose.

Apply the toner to the crevices around the chin.

    3. MOISTURIZING

Without moisture, the skin will not remain smooth and supple. The face is exposed to the drying effect of the weather, so moisturisers -- which form a film over the skin -- contain and augment the natural moisture.

Using the tips ofthe fingers, dot moisturising cream lightly all over the face.

Press the fingers of both hands into the centre of the forehead and work the cream slowly outwards. Pat the cream gentlyaround the eyes.

Work the cream around the jawline, chin and mouth with the middle fingers of both hands.

Massage the cream over the throat with alternating hands, using upward strokes from collar-bone to chin.
A small blowlamp and a steady hand.
use Over the counter creams like benzoyl peroxide or clindamycin regularly and wash your face with a mild face wash or soap

use non greasy oil free make up

    use water based makeups

but if you want immediate results

you can use steam on your face and that will open your pores and then pop the blackheads

    and pimples can be poked with a needle {sterile needle if available or else just heat the needle in a flame or apply alcohol on the needle}

    and then squeeze the pimple

the important thing is to apply ice after squeezing this will prevent it from becoming red and swollen

then apply benzoyl peroxide cream or clindamycin gel on the pimples

stop touching your face, stick to one face wash, i suggest either neutrogena 2 in one face mask or t-tree. dont pick or squeeze. and herbal tablets called echinacea really help too. Oh and eat well...make sure you get your 5 a day!
You can try ';Differin.'; I started using that June 1 of last year and my skin cleared in about 6 weeks (expected). There are side effects though: when you first start using it your skin may peel bad, just use oil-free moisturizer; another thing, your skin might hurt really bad, when i started using it i could hardly put water on my face and it would burn. But, all the while I think that ';differin'; has got to be one of the easiest methods of getting clear skin. You just apply before you go to bed, it's cream so you just rub it in...IT'S SO EASY! It also lasts a long time, my first tube lasted for 4 months i think or maybe longer. Ask your dermatologist or family doctor about DIFFERIN...oh and PROACTIV doesn't work for everyone (if you have terrible acne), my boyfriend does and he used proactiv it only worked for 2 weeks, then no more results. DIFFERIN has worked for everyone I know who has used it. If your acne is bad enough your doctor can prescribe you antibiotics or supplements to help you. Also you can try a lowly concentrated (or highly depending on severity of acne) benzyl peroxide wash...you'll probably have to get prescription for that. You also have to get prescription for DIFFERIN. I highly recommend that you look into it.
Don't pop them yourself it makes them worse.

Proactiv or Clean and Clear, if that doesnt clear it up go to a dermatologist, they will most likely prescribe something like Retin-A...good luck
I disagree with everyone else who has answered... Proactiv is deffinatley the solution. It gets rid of everything.. if you don't wanna spend $30 every month for a 30 day supply then goto sam's club and buy the brand called acne-free it's a 90 day supply for $30 and works just the same

What are good every day foods to prevent spots or breakouts?

I always try and eat healthy but I want to find foods that are specifically good for your skin. Anyone got any recommendations? :DWhat are good every day foods to prevent spots or breakouts?
    1. Drink plenty of water to flush impurities and keep skin hydrated

    2. Consider taking fish oil capsules - it limits sun damage and keeps skin supple

    3. Freshly squeezed lemon mixed with water (no sugar added) helps to alkalize the body. When the body's PH is balanced, cells regenerate and skin improves

    4. Reduce the amount of sugar, sodium and preservatives in your diet

    5. Include healthy fats in your diet (avocados, nuts, seeds, etc.)

I try to follow this as best as possible and have noticed a huge difference in my skin! Good luck :-)What are good every day foods to prevent spots or breakouts?
Low-Fat Dairy Products. One the most important components of skin health is vitamin A. One of the best places to get it is low-fat dairy products.

Whole-Wheat Bread, Cereals and Brazil nuts - Dietary selenium comes from nuts, cereals, meat, fish, and eggs. Brazil nuts are the richest ordinary dietary source. The mineral selenium connects all these foods for healthy skin.

    Good Luck :)
the above answer is correct, food wont GIVE you spots, but it can help your skin health to eat certain things.

    Raw spinach and greens.

    Carrots

Avocados..but watch your intake, very high in calories.

    Dairy..low fat.

Use a product that contains hydroquinone to lighten the spots. It may take a couple of months, but you will notice the difference. I use a product from Philosophy called ';A Pigment of Your Imagination.'; Also, use a sunscreen every day to prevent future spots from occuring. • How much would it hurt to pierce these spots on my ears?

I want to do my tragus, anti-tragus, rook, and/or conch. I know everyone has a different pain tolerance, but if you have any of these done, can you tell me how the pain was?How much would it hurt to pierce these spots on my ears?
tragus didnt hurt at all, and my friends who also have it agree. the rook barely hurt and it took a bit longer than other piercings i have to heal. How much would it hurt to pierce these spots on my ears?
You are dealing with cartilage so the pain should be the same level for all of the aforementioned piercings. I found the anti tragus to be the most uncomfortable.
I've only had my conch done and honestly, i know you've probably heard a lot about the pain factor, but it just isn't there. It hurt way more getting my nipples done than my conch. Piece of cake!
Conch hurt the most. : (

I had the same problem. I had very thick skin there. Use a natural sea loufa, scrub your knees and finish with strong moisturizer. You can also use St. Ive's exfoliating scrub on your knees. If it is very bad, you can use the natural mineral rock used to soften foot calluses. Dove body wash is an amazing way to soften the body.

Also when you shave, don't go against the grain on the knee. Going against will roughen the skin.

Anybody know of a good over the counter face lotion or cream that helps fade age spots?

I mean one that really works. I spent too many years lying out in the sun, and now I see a new age spot every other day! Thanks for your answersAnybody know of a good over the counter face lotion or cream that helps fade age spots?
When I was younger, I spent countless hours in the sun. I too, have noticed brown spots. The only thing that really works for me is Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I use it as my facial moisturizer and noticed my age spots have disappeared. As well as fine lines and dry patches. Women have been using it for centuries and I now see why. It doesn't have a smell and my skin drinks it right in. You only need a few drops. Even my Hubby uses it now. My skin has never looked healthier.

there are tons of procedures I would talk to a dermitoligst and they can direct you to differnt products. or you can use palmers skin lotion for stretch marks and scarring it will work if given time and its pretty cheap as well. make sure you get the one with colligen and elastin in it though cause that is the one that works the best and it is unscented so you wont get perfums on your skin to cause extra irritation. What is something good to use for acne spots or scars?
Get Tea tree oil, it helps to heal skin cells, i know people who had bad burns (in there face etc) who have no scars from it after using tea tree oil 3 times daily right after it happened for a while, and even older scars also fade/disappear from regular use

  • What treatments are out there to erase reddish brown sunburn spots on back?

Ok, a month and a half ago i went snorkling in Hawaii. I spent 2 hours swimming not taking into account that the sun was blasting my back, naturally I got sunburned. Does anyone out there know any treatment in regaining your natural skin color? Thanks!!What treatments are out there to erase reddish brown sunburn spots on back?
In color therapy, turquoise color is used for the treatment of sunburned skin. It vigourizes the skin fiber and is the best remedy for sunburned as well as for itching skin.

Put turquoise rays on the affected area using any light emitting source. You computer monitor can also be used for this purpose by setting the colour of the desktop to turquoise replacing any desktop wallpaper. What treatments are out there to erase reddish brown sunburn spots on back?

I had dark circles and bags under the eyes, but they have vanished since I started using a new product, which has now been featured in Vogue Magazine.

Within 3 days of using the product the dark circles have gone, and my skin is blemish free. It's even firmed up my skin, and the small wrinkles around my eyes, through age, and continued sun exposure, have almost disappeared.

I am a beauty therapist by trade and have tried a lot of different products over the years some have not worked at all, some have been good, but this product is amazing, and gives very fast results. I am not surprised it was awarded Best Skincare Product 2008!

this happen to me too. Just keep your arms covered out of the sun because the sun will make them darker. Use an exfoliating scrub on your arms in the shower like St. Ives Scrub. Use cocoa butter on them throughout the day and at night apply vitamin e oil or take a vitamin e pill each day its great for your skin. Time will help heal your scars. Just be patient. If you go in the sun put SPF on your skin.

hey, my comments kinda late but neway, i use a cream called 'sudocrem' at night. I just pad it on my spots, it dries them up and works really fast.

I also use a makup powder called 'Bare Minerals'. Its all natural and is just as effective as foundation only batter for ur skin. Report Abuse

the best stuff i have used is pure aloe vera gel (all natural) think you can still get it from that qvc channel website
Hey, I totally understand what you are going through. I had severe acne in my teens and it really got me down, especially as I thought I would never get rid of it. Now, 8 years on I am pimple and spot free.

The best thing to do is to see your GP. They will then either prescribe you some medication or even send you to a dermotologist (as was the case with me) and they will sort you out. The stuff they give you is AMAZING and my acne cleared up really quickly. Apart from that, Witchhazel is an amazing substance for getting rid of spots - either buy some and dab it on your face or the 'Witch' range of products is quite good to - especially their foaming face wash.

I know that it is really hard coping with it, but be thankful that you only have spots! There is always some poor sod worse off than the most saddest person in the world. Oh, ditch the foundation and let your pores breathe also. Best of luck!
    Some tips:

-Drink tons of water. A liter and a half per day is good.

-Use a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation; it is lighter and wont clog your pores.

-Eat lots of fruits and veggies and cut out unnecesary fats.

-Eat salmon! It does wonders for the skin.

-Wash your face morning and night with a cleanser than contains salicylic acid, and dont forget to moisturize with a grease free face cream.

If after 2 months of doing this you see no improvement, go to your dermatologist, and he/she will give you prescription meds that will surely work for you.

Dont let acne get you down, you can beat it!
You've received a lot of good advice. One thing you might want to try is the acne kit on http://www.nontoxicbeauty.com it has two products ata reduced price if you buy them together and they are natural and effective. Worth a try...
Foundation will further clog the pores and make the spots worse. There are plenty of medications that the doctor can prescribe that will clear your spots right up. I had really bad skin when I was in my teens. The only thing that really worked was prescribed medication. Good luck.
Firstly, please note cosmetics only cover up and clogs pores stopping skin from breathing. So later on you skin actually looks bad because it has suffered the drawbacks of cosmetics.

You didn't say whether the spots are like acne or freckles or ';indents';.

Indents are often seen on some smoker's face or maturer people who do not tone their skin to close the pores.

Freckles are from sun exposure. Avoid the sun during the during the peak UV ray times 11-2 Winter or 11-3 in Summer---Australian cancer foundation info. Cover your face with a wide brim hat and sun screen and aviator-style/fisherman's style or wrap around sunglasses. Lemon juice is is suppose to lighten skin. Ask your pharmacist for a 'skin spot fader' product.

Acne is part of adolescence. The oiliness can be reduced by using a clay mask twice a week. Use a facial scrub (oatmeal and water is OK) once a week.

Keep face clean by washing it with water often (never use regular soap it is too alkaline and leaves a film behind that often clogs pores). Medicated soap may help. Johnson %26amp; Johnson '; Clean and Clear lotion was the only one that consistently worked for me.

Drink more pure water. Eat lots of fresh produce. Nutrients that feed the skin. Minimise the junk food intake--- it warps your diet with too much oil, sugar, additives and salt --it is the combo that is not favourable to clear skin.

Smile. Relax. Get enough sleep. [Go research what the supermodel do]. I wish you well.
Go see a dermatologist first. If they are sun spots, you have some options. One of them is bleaching creams, the best creams are those that are strong and need prescription.
one piece of advice is to go to a salon and have a facial. its great for the skin and is a decent price. trust me you will feel brilliant after wards. one problem with this is you are advised not to wear makeup after this for 24 hours as your pores are open and could make your skin worse. if you that self conscious then make a late appointment so that your skin wont be that visible. also, a few cheaper ways is to drink plenty of water, eat healthy and exfoliate every day. you could try using a matte based moisturiser too. if your still worried then see a dermatologist.

just remember that if you have a facial, you need to help maintain it so regular treatments may be in order. but don't worry, please. everyone gets spots in there life time and they can be embarrassing but you are not alone and there are many people, like me, who suffer from spots. i hope this helps.
Go to your dermatologist, who will prescribe you something. Try and minimize your foundation use, or at least use a water based not an oil based concealer or foundation. Also, try a medicated concealer, or put some acne type cream like proactive on them.

Hope it gets better - I know how you feel. xx
Drink plenty of water and exfoliate your skin every night - it cleans the pores and removes all the dirt. Spot creams tend to bring spots out, I've found!

But yeah - water! Most important. And go to bed early.
try vitamin 'e' cream %26amp;give it a chance to work ,dont plaster your skin with makeup.
spots can be melanin over/under-pigmentation. consult a dermatologist first. Some white spots are caused by fungi such as miliacea spp. or yeast. A dermatologist can find out the cause and offer you a solution. There are a lot of safe home remedies available to make your skin look vibrant. some of them are 1) apply red sandal wood powder face mask regularly, 2) apply row turmeric face pack, 3) consult a beautician for a facial 4) apply sun mask when you go out. 5) drink plenty of water 6) go to bed early and have at least 10 hours sleep a day (best remedy).
Hi there, you don't say how old u r but teenager spots will go eventually, if they are not acne!! if they are then you will need to see your doc, so don't pick at them or.... as your granny says they WILL leave scarring, use foundation if you must but THOROUGH cleansing (and toning to tighten the pores)

and remove excess oil.Every morning and night, Face packs once a week will also help. Use products without excess oil, or oil free moisturiser and of course a good diet with not to many fry ups and plenty of water
Don't know what kind of 'spots' you have, but I would see a Dermatologist.!! I had all my spots removed using a cryo technique, that was a spray of liquid nitrogen on each spot. They dry up and fall off in 5 to 7 days. It is similar to a small spot of frostbite. Just a slight burning from the cold spray. Otherwise, there are many other medications available, depending on the type of spots. Keratoses, moles, acne, clogged pores, etc..
Could wear a bag over your head.......

How can I get rid of scars which came from spots on my face?

After spots have been gone, my skin is smooth but I still can see scars (normally in red or brown red). How can I get rid of them?

Need to use any whitening product? Lemom juice?

Please advise. Thanks. How can I get rid of scars which came from spots on my face?
bio oil is an option but takes a long time to see results

go for microdermabrasion - is best if u can get a professional to do it to u, dont just go to any old salon cuz you should get the best for your face. go to your doctor and ask to be referred to a consultant dermatologistHow can I get rid of scars which came from spots on my face?
Bio oil is fantastic for helping to fade scars.
bio oil is good for the marks that you have at the moment, that and a scar gel that is in superdrug going cheap!

But somethign you can do to stop it from happening is to moisturise when you have spots and make sure you DONT PICK THEM! this makes the marks in the first place.

    hope this helps.
I have the same problem and am interested in bio oil - can anyone give me a website please?
theres a brillant product that reduces scars its called bio oil and cant be found at the chemist its alittle pricey and takes awhile to notice any real differents but it worked for me
It depends on what caused the scars. Always make sure you use sunscreen to help keep the skin tone even on your face.
use tissue oil, it works wonders for strech marks aswell
Im not sure about removing but you can cover them up with bio oil, you get lots of recomendations for that stuff.
Bio oil could help with the scars, but will probably also cause more spots!

A friend of mine has used Silicol Skin, and found that it was very good both for preventing spots, and helping the spots and red marks to fade too.

  • What does it mean when there's little white spots on your fingernails?

My friend and I have been in an on-going arguement since we were in fifth grade about this. She claims it means you have enough dairy products in you, that is so lame, like it's ever gonna mean that!I say it means that your nails are damaged, that must be right, isn't it?What does it mean when there's little white spots on your fingernails?
An article I read states that it could be due to trauma or a deficiency, but it doesn't list calcium as being one of the possible deficiencies, so technically, you are correct!! Here is a link. You can print it off and show your friend!!

http://www.webmd.com/content/article/42/鈥?/a>What does it mean when there's little white spots on your fingernails?
Lack of calcium,so im told,I dont drink a lot of milk myself, but make up for it with the choclate i eat ha,ha and i dont get them, hope i can prevent u and your freind from falling out.
It's probably because they got damaged some way or another, and they do eventually go away.

I also heard it's because someone is thinking of you, but that is obviously not true, I think. :)
    It means u bent them
Calcium deficiency is a myth. They are very common and caused as a result of injury to the base of the nail (matrix) where the nail cells are produced. They are not cause for concen and will eventually grow out.

It means there is calcium deficiency in ur body... may be not too much but still there is a lack of calcium... also it means that u r weak... eat calcium rich foods and high energy diet... its not a thing to worry at all.... ull be fyn in few days...
It means your nails have been damaged from trauma.
could be a problem with your liver. infact sometime are there and sometime not because things change day by day.
too much calcium, it wont harm you either, it's just extra calcium

How long should spots take to clear up?

I have been using a combination of Oxy face wash, Oxy face wipes and Loreal Anti-Sebum moisturiser since Thursday and so far have seen very little to no visible reduction in my spots. I have been using this combination day and night. How long should spots take to clear up?
Oxy is not a very good brand to use if you want actually results. I would use something like pro-active, clean and clear, or neutrogina.

The wipes won't do much for you, nor will the face wash. Use a good oil free moisturizer.

How do i go about getting rid of the dark spots on my face from acne scars?

rite about now i can't afford the fancy things like laser treatments and whatever. also, i wash my face daily before i go to school and never go outside during the day but my face is always oily! help? How do i go about getting rid of the dark spots on my face from acne scars?
Neutrogena carries an acne scar mask, and I've heard lemon juice works..

Sometimes the laser treatment centers have to teach new people to use their machines and need volunteers to demonstrate on..

Thats what happened with me and i got like 4 treatments free.

    And the results were great!

And for the oil i just put on an oil free moisturizer after washing my face.. works just fine for me..How do i go about getting rid of the dark spots on my face from acne scars?
I am suffering from the same problem. You should go to the Clinique counter and ask for mark removing products. It is expensive, but it is stilll affordable by the average person. I am using their Acne line which removes acne and over time removes the scars left over by the acne. I have normal to oily combination skin and I find that it dries off oil. It'd probably work well for you if your skin is oily. They have a specific scar removing product as well, ask about that. You should try LUSH as well. They have all natural products. I have heard their Ocean Salt Cleanser is good for removing acne scars. They have numerous products for oily skin.
i had acne scars just a few around my mouth and i use st ives apricot scrub, its got read appricot like hars thing and it will work a treat trust me the best scrub ive ever used, and i went to the cosmetic clinic and got demobratiob done and i brought to creams from them twom of the cream together will cost approx $100 and i use a cream call stiev-a topical acne treatment 1/2 strenght and it peels the top layer of skin just slightly so you scar will aventally dissapere just like mine did, for example you aply the cream every day its not a dramatic skin peel but i is enought to bring out a new layer of fresh skin and your old skin peels wright of so do your blemishes and scars because you removing the skin that contains the scar. hope this helps good luck. ps. i used them and i could sa now that my best feture is my absolutly flawless face. my little brother has acne been suffering acne his hole teen life and ive givin him my steiv-a a cream because i dont need it anymore because its made my face flawless im hopeing to help my brother achieve the same results

Using a loofah to get rid of spots on back?

I suffer from spots on my back and was wondering if using a loofah or similar would help clear them up at all - does anyone have experience of this? If so, how often should one use it and with what? Thanks!Using a loofah to get rid of spots on back?
I get a spotty back as well and I treat the skin on my back the same way I treat my face. I exfoliate, I make sure the skin is as clean as possible and I don't put any greasy or cloggy product on it, and of course getting my hubbie to give my back a rub now and again with a good moisturiser is a good thing for me too.

If you are going to use a loofah, don't scrub too hard as it won't do you any good, just use gentle circular motions.

If you are still concerned about the amount of spots on your back speak to a chemist or your doctor as they'll be able to suggest something that'll help you.Using a loofah to get rid of spots on back?
i have a spotty back and chest and i exfoliate really gently every other day and then i spray with cliniqe anti-blemish solutions body spray every day when needed. Ive found that to be a really good product. hope that helps x
sometimes it can be down to hair conditioner. make sure you rinse it all out properly and then use the loofah with a good tea tree or anti blemish wash.

    God luck
    apply lemon juice

  • How do I get rid of red spots and bumps caused by shaving?

They are all over my upper thigh. How do I get rid of them? How do I get rid of red spots and bumps caused by shaving?
I wouldnt shave there for a while atleast until it grows out a small length. Then I would take brown sugar and use it as a body scrub, rinse that off, with good lathering shaving gel rub that on, then with a good razor (three blades or more works best) shave.

Those red bumps are caused by razor burn, make sure you lotion daily, and dont shave when you dont need to.How do I get rid of red spots and bumps caused by shaving?
I use skintamite shave gel, it makes your legs smooth. Maybe you should also put lotion on your legs after you shave. This may sound weird, but men have stuff they put on their face for the same thing maybe you can check out if they have the same thing for women.
Use shaving creme if you're not, and make sure your blade isn't dull. Maybe shave slower? You might be creating a bunch of friction and irritating your skin bc up on the thigh is a lot to shave, and most ppl do it quickly.
Aveeno shaving cream, a sharp razor, and right when you get out, mix a little diaper rash cream or Vitamin A%26amp;D ointment into your lotion. I also use Sesame Seed oil sometimes, if I have the time to pamper a little.
Aveeno has a therapeutic shave gel made for preventing ingrown hairs. You can buy it at Target or Wallgreens or Walmart. If you don't want to buy anything try rubbing oil on your legs to soften hair follicles before you shave. Good luck :)
Uhhh...a sharp razor loads of shaving cream and a good after-shave moisturizer, try a lotion with cocoa-butter in it!
Use a good shaving cream, a sharp razor, and moisturize!
    they usually go awayy

u should use shaving cream and then after u r done shaving

use toner everytime you shave and apply johnsons baby creame pink tube

How to get rid of the red spots on my face?

I have about 4 red spots on the bit above my nose between my eyes. They aren't itchy or anything but they are extremely ugly. I have been using tea tree oil on them for a few days which hasn't worked. Also I drink a lot of cranberry juice could this be the cause for the spots. Please tell me any home remedies for my spots... ThanksHow to get rid of the red spots on my face?
Swap the cranberry juice for water.

Cut down on any sugar foods that you eat (they are a large cause for spots)

Keep washing your face twice a day

Try to avoid touching your spots

Tea tree is good for getting rid of spots, it just take time

hope this helps xxHow to get rid of the red spots on my face?
Spots won't go away immediately - you need to give them a little while for what you're using to work. If the tea tree oil doesn't work, I use oxy spot cream which works really well. I'd put it on before you go to bed so its got a long time to work overnight. A moisturiser like neutrogena with spot prevention formula is a good idea also - no spots and silky smooth skin.
i agree that drinking water will help.drink water as much as you can.It purifies blood which will help wash away the impurities. If blood is pure there is no chances of red spots!!You try applying paste of sandal wood.It works wonder to me.It will help you too !!

for curing acne and all your skin problems
Use aloe vera. It's a good natural home remedy.
Go see a derm and ask about Retin-A, a prescription cream that speeds up the process of collagen in your skin which will fade those spots.

What could i use to fade dark spots on my cheeks?

I have dark spots on my cheeks and i wanted to fade them quickly as possible because the summer-time is here and I want flawless skin, does the sun really heal scars ?What could i use to fade dark spots on my cheeks?
NO. The sun will not cure your dark spots (hyperpigmentation). It will actually make your spots much much worse, they will get darker and you will increase healing time.

Hyperpigmentation scars take forever to heal. Naturally it can take about 2 years for them to fade entirely.

I had H.P. on my cheeks from Proactiv and I tried a product called ';Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion'; because I heard from the dermatologist that, that is really good for reducing dark spots.

I've been using it for two months now and the reduction in dark spots has been significant. You can barely see my spots anymore. (not to mention this stuff closed up all my pores, got rid of all my blackheads, and I no longer break out.)

How do I get rid of hair spots on my legs?

I have dots on my legs and I think its where like hair grows out of but it makes my legs look hairy even though they have been just shaving. how do i get rid of them or hide them? How do I get rid of hair spots on my legs?
You can't, they'll be there forever and ever. The world is cruel. How do I get rid of hair spots on my legs?
Before shaving make sure to use a good body wash that exfoliates. This will get rid of dead skin around the hair follicles, allowing for a closer shave and minimizing ingrown hairs and that plucked chicken look. Waxing is also a good alternative because the hair is pulled out by the root. It also lasts longer than shaving, but can be expensive.
Everyone has these; this is just the hair follicle. This is nothing you can ';get rid of'; or even cover. Even people who have electrolysis or wax their legs to remove the hair still have the spot or ';hole'; where the follicle is. Just be sure your legs are exfoliated (scrubbed to get dead skin off) and moisturized, and no one will be looking at the spots! :)
I used to have those and i hated them, they're ingrown hairs.

First of all buy a good shave cream, or if you're on a tight budget get some thick conditioner it does the same job

take a razor that has conditioning strips (i'm a big fan of venus) and shave in a downward motion over the places where spots appear, then shave the rest of your leg normally, then go back with a little more cream or conditioner and shave the spots in an upward motion

this is the only thing that works for me and you have to shave everyday for about a week before they go away

How do i get rid of black spots on my inner thighs?
