How do you get white spots out of a leather jacket?

I had this jacket for one year and then white spots started appearing on the black leather. It is not from spilling anything on the jacket or from rain. The best I can describe is a warn out look like the black faded. Although, I don't feel this is what happened. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. How do you get white spots out of a leather jacket?
This could be due to several things and should really be looked at by an expert.

You should take it to a leather shop not the store where you purchased it but like one of the shops that actually sews the leather jackets for bikers and does belts and so on. They can tell you best if the jacket could be put through a die treatment, of the same original color it was when you first purchased it. A lot of people are finding that

having the heal, snaps, zippers and even bleaching or dying various items they cost less then going out to but the items all again. With how things are every where i'd go that route of having the entire jacket dyed to it's original color. It's done all the time.
